Eréndira Derbez Campos

Soy escritora, ilustradora e historiadora del arte. Co fundé el Estudio de diseño Plumbago en 2016 en el que actualmente dirijo el área de proyectos educativos y he trabajado con distintas editoriales y organizaciones de la sociedad civil en México y en el extranjero. Como escritora e investigadora me he especializado en la historia del arte en México de inicios del siglo XX. Mi trabajo tiene un enfoque en justicia social y perspectiva de género.

I am an art historian, writer and illustrator that co-founded a design studio in 2016 (Estudio Plumbago), where I direct educational projects and collaborate with different NGOs. I am a freelance writer and researcher that specialises in Mexican Art and Culture from the first half of the 20th Century. My work has a strong intersectional gender perspective and a focus on social justice. I am interested in pursuing an academic career as I work closely with archives (as the Galería de Arte Mexicano Archives).

  • Together with Alfonso Flores Trujillo, co-founded an independent design studio in 2016 that focuses on the dissemination of material regarding human rights and education.

  • This distinction can only be granted by the unanimous vote of the thesis committee of a student with a cumulative GPA above 9.00/10.00, who wrote an honours thesis of “exceptional quality”, and presented an outstanding oral defense 

FICSAC-IBERO Investigation recognition award, 2020

  • This distinction is just given to twenty students in the University for the best academic investigations during 2019. I was the only one from a master´s program who received this honour, the other nineteen were Phd students
